About GCANS

Guckenberger Computer and Network Solutions Ltd. (GCANS Ltd) is owned and operated by Guy Guckenberger, Jr.

Guy has worked in computer and network technology for ten years, including eight years as an Executive Director for a large Northern Kentucky technology company.

Guy designed and implemented their 600 node network infrastructure. He is responsible for all LAN, WiFi, WAN, Intranet and Internet networking at the company, as well as most of the 600 nodes attached to the many networks. Guy is also responsible for the installation and management of Internet services including DNS, SMTP, POP3, FTP, HTTP, SNMP, firewall and Citrix, all running on various operating systems. He also designed and implemented the company’s VOIP network, which spans 6 states and includes over 150 IP phones.

GCANS Ltd. hosts all of its own Internet services including web, email, FTP, and DNS (public and private). The corporate network is wired and wireless. GCANS uses NMIS and MRTG to manage the network infrastructure.
